Endiprev awarded with a maintenance contract in France

Endiprev will start working with GE Renewable Energy in the maintenance of several wind farms in France.

Endiprev was awarded a maintenance contract by GE Renewable Energy. The team is going to perform O&M activities in several wind farms across France, for two years (2019-2021). Altogether, we will be working on 103 GE’s wind turbines, totaling up a capacity of 293MW. These wind turbines will be spread across 13 different wind farms in all the French territory:

  • Auvergne.
  • Champagne.
  • Britany.
  • Occitanie.
  • Centre.
  • South.

The scope of this project is to perform preventive and corrective maintenance on these wind turbine generators. Overall, the main tasks in the preventive maintenance work will be torqueing, tensioning, oil samplings, break in services, battery change-outs, and inspections. Whereas in the corrective maintenance, our team will be performing large correctives, components change-outs, gearbox and generators, and troubleshooting.

France is one of the countries in Europe with the most growth potential in the wind energy industry. In fact, the country is expecting to close 2018 with more than 15.3GW of cumulative capacity. According to the Global Wind Energy Council, France is the seventh country in the world with the most installed capacity. This year alone, France was the third-largest market, with 13% of new installations. However, there is still a long way to go to reach its goal of producing 26GW by 2023.

Update (February 1st, 2021)

Endiprev’s maintenance contract with GE Renewable Energy in France was extended for two more years (2021-2023). Our teams will continue to support the Wind Turbine Manufacturer performing all the tasks mentioned above in the 22 wind farms, with a total of 103 GE’s wind turbines.

This extension is very important for Endiprev, once it shows the recognition of the professionalism and the quality of our team’s work during these past few years. In fact, our company aims to continue to reinforce this partnership with GE Renewable Energy on other scopes as well, such as major corrective, and high voltage works.

Furthermore, this is a step forward to achieve Endiprev’s growth goals, once France continues to be one of the company’s focus markets. We have more than 40 field technicians working in France regularly, and, a year ago, we opened our French subsidiary, in Nantes. At this moment, we work in close partnership with all the Wind Turbine Manufacturers in the country.
