Offshore Partnership: Endiprev & Vestas
The offshore partnership between Endiprev and Vestas marks a crucial moment in our journey. After years of preparation and capacity building, we have begun working with Vestas in the offshore sector in the UK, strengthening our presence alongside one of the world’s leading wind turbine manufacturers, which has over 1,500 turbines installed across 52 offshore wind farms!

A prime example of this collaboration is our contract at the Walney Wind Farm in Cumbria. Located in the Irish Sea, this wind farm is one of the largest in England and has presented an exciting challenge for our teams.
Starting operations in this new segment with Vestas has brought significant challenges. Each offshore project comes with unique processes and requirements. The learning curve has been steep, but our team continues to respond with agility. It has been a joint effort between field operations and back-office support.
Logistics challenges have been particularly demanding. With technicians operating in multiple countries within the same rotation, we had to restructure internal processes to ensure continuous support. In some cases, rotations began in the UK and ended in Denmark, requiring rigorous logistics, compliance, and internal communication.
A New Work Dynamic
These challenges have also extended to project management, increasing the need for meticulous planning—ensuring each technician has the right training, documentation, and meets the specific requirements of each wind farm is a demanding yet essential task.
Among the wind farms where we have operated, notable examples include:
- Kincardine (Scotland) – 50MW, featuring floating technology, making every major corrective task a unique challenge.
- Walney Extension (England) – 659MW, one of the largest offshore wind farms in England.
- Moray East (Scotland) – 950MW, with 100 turbines V164 of 9.5MW.
- Borselle III e IV (Netherlands) – 731.5MW.
- Horns Rev 3 (Denmark) – 407MW.
- Northwestern (Belgium) – 219MW.
Each of these sites presents its own complexities, from travel logistics to managing operations both onshore and offshore. Additionally, our experience in near-shore wind farms, where technicians work offshore but return to land for rest, has introduced a hybrid dynamic, demanding even greater coordination and flexibility.
Preparation and Human Capital: Our Best Strategy
If there is one key takeaway from this project, it is the importance of preparation.
We have invested in training our technicians, anticipating future needs so that when the time comes, we are ready. This proactive approach is fundamental and remains a strategy we will maintain in upcoming offshore projects.
Regarding human capital, the feedback from our technicians is clear: the challenges are numerous, but the enthusiasm and sense of mission prevail. Corrective operations are, by nature, demanding, yet they provide a rich learning and growth environment that our professionals deeply value.
Working in different wind farms, with varying cultural and operational contexts, contributes to the development of each technician and strengthens Endiprev’s commitment to excellence.
Together for a More Sustainable Future
This partnership with Vestas Offshore is more than just a contract. It is the realization of a vision—proof that preparation, dedication, and adaptability are the keys to growing in a competitive and demanding sector like offshore energy.
Our integration into the Muehlhan Wind Services Group has been a key factor in this journey, enhancing our capabilities and expanding our global reach. With each challenge we overcome, we reinforce our conviction: we are ready to navigate toward new achievements.
