Wind farm maintenance: New contract with SGRE

Endiprev was awarded a new wind farm maintenance contract with Siemens Gamesa (SGRE), in Galicia, Spain.

Wind Farm Maintenance contract with Siemens Gamesa

Over the next few days, Endiprev is starting the execution of the preventive wind farm maintenance work on 83 Siemens Gamesa’s wind turbine generators, spread across seven wind farms, in Northwestern Spain. This project’s scope is to perform a torquing activity on these wind turbine generators, three months after their commissioning. This means that SGRE chose Endiprev to work on the wind farm’s first maintenance operation.

Our teams will be working on several SG 3.4-132 turbines, one of the most efficient onshore models of Siemens Gamesa. With a rotor diameter of 132 meters, it allows the turbine to produce a nominal power of more than 3MW.

Endiprev already has a long experience in preventive and corrective maintenance in several countries, such as the United Kingdom, France, and Spain, with long-term contracts. For this project, we selected 12 technicians, with a high level of experience and intensive training in the tasks required.

The wind farm maintenance contract is the result of a good partnership that Endiprev strengthened over the last year with SGRE, on a global scale. The company is one of the most important Wind Turbines Manufacturers, particularly in Spain, where it has shown amazing results. In 2019, Siemens Gamesa closed the year with a new energy record in the country. Three out of four wind turbines installed last year in Spain were Siemens Gamesa turbines.

Besides Spain, Endiprev has several contracts for the wind farms maintenance with Siemens Gamesa in Portugal and the United States. We are also planning new projects with the company in different geographies for this year.
