Fujian Xinghua Gulf Wind Farm maintenance

Endiprev was selected to support GE Renewable Energy on the maintenance of the Fujian Wind Farm, from 2018 to 2020.

Endiprev is going to be the key partner of GE Renewable Energy for the maintenance phase in Fujian Xinghua Gulf Wind Farm. The Wind Turbine Manufacturer secured the order for the offshore wind farm in 2017, delivering three Haliade 150-6MW wind turbines. GE manufactured the nacelles and generators of the wind turbines at its offshore factory in Saint-Nazaire (France). Whereas other facilities in China and Denmark manufactured the towers and the blades, respectively.

The Fujian Xinghua Gulf is an offshore demo project, located in the Xinghua Bay. The Chinese Fuqing Haixia Electricity Generation Company owns the wind farm, in a joint venture between China Three Gorges and Fujian Energy). It is a multi-brand project, gathering eight different technologies, with a total capacity of 73MW. The Fujian Xinghua Gulf Wind Farm is capable of producing enough energy to power more than 20,000 homes in the region.

The offshore wind farm will be a significant contribution to China’s offshore ambitions. The country’s goal is to reach 30GW of installed offshore wind capacity by 2020. That is going to set the path for China to become the leader in clean energy in the world.

With this contract, GE’s Renewable Energy also secured a two-year operation and maintenance service. This phase is where Endiprev support comes in. To best serve this maintenance project, while preparing the upcoming market opportunities, Endiprev is setting up a Chinese subsidiary. At this point, we are the only wind services provider in the word with an offshore track record on three continents: Europe, America, and Asia.
